I like to think I’m an avid runner. I’ve been running since 2003, started on a whim when I signed-up last minute to do Canada’s largest 10K Run, The Vancouver Sun Run, and since then I’ve been hooked. I’ve completed over a dozen 5K and 10K runs and proudly done ten Half-Marathons (one of which is in Slovenia during a trip).

After logging in some respectable mileage, I knew it was time to step up my game. To finally stop wondering, face my fear and do a full marathon. Luckily, I’ve been chosen to be a part of The Province Marathon Team. Seven of us who will train and partake in the BMO Vancouver Marathon on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Five of us, including myself, are to do the Full and two to take on the Half; and with John Stanton, founder of The Running Room, as our leader, I know we’re setup for success.

Through this blog, I’ll be sharing my adventures, the struggles and (hopefully more of) the triumphs. I thank you reader for taking interest and the time to read about this journey I’m about to take.
